I agree that we don't want Redders as manager and I also take my hat off to the players for the come back. I don't agree with anything else said. I don't believe we have rotten offices. Our staff in the offices such as box/ticket office are something to always be proud of. I don't agree we got lucky with Val. By the same admission we got unlucky with Markus? I don't agree we need a British manager. I think we just need the best person for the job no matter where they are from. If the 80% care about money they will want us to stay up where they can make more money. We don't need whoever comes in next to steady any ship and keep us up. It's only October, we aren't adrift, the likes of Morris/Andersen should be seen before the next international break and the likes of Iseka are getting up to speed.
I think val was a good manager who although not pretty football had is side very well organised and every player wanted to play for him, he had a winners mentality and could be tough when needed to. I don't think it was luck but he got the best out of the players and got them over performing. This bloke has come from the Austrian 2nd division to one of the biggest leagues in Europe. Hes out of his depth Morris is a big loss but the blokes played a wing back as a forward for months, anderson will struggle to play out from the back. I agree our staff in the box office and ticket office are top drawer but he's right in everything else.
We are getting adrift though. If Derby get their points reinstated we're 8 points behind them The blunts were poor, Boro were poor we should have got something for those games.
People saying Schopps a scapegoat are on planet cookoo land, have u not seen how far low the players who performed so well last season have gone? Look at brittain this season compared with last… talk about not backed??? How about Schopp gets something out of these players and gets us some results. Thing is you can see that the players aren’t even behind Schopp with their post match comments. Get schopp out.
Difference is Val wanted it! He was organised, didnt take no prisoners, had a style and you could tell that the players were scared (in a good way) to not do it his way. They hated the style half of them but dis it as they understood why it was needed. Val looked organised and wanted a fight and you could see the players would bust a gut to fight with him all the way! Its total opposite with Schopp. Literally the total opposite. I can take losing. We lost Sunday but the players rallied and gave it a go. Its all the previous games where we look useless, effort less, clueless thats hard to accept and the book stops with the man setting them up and getting them pumped up!
I think they were getting at the blokes from the Austrian 2nd tier the equivalent of our league 2/confrance he should have never been given the job in the 1st place and its no wonder he's out of his depth.
I don't buy into this "who else we gunna get to run the club" thing. We aren't a Sunday League side, we're an established Championship club. I wish our fans would gi or with this tinpot mentality.
Don't think anyone is saying Schopp is a scapegoat. What they are saying is this mess as come from the incompitance above him. And wheather or not he goes or stays won't make a jot of difference while the 80% are running the show. You're just going to get another like him... Then another then another. Some may do ok, then move on. Some won't and leave anyway.. Same for the players turnover after turnover. Some do ok and move on some won't and fall away to be forgotten. The only continuity is the machine in the back ground. Just wait and see how long future coaches last. Or how many of the yoof machine play 50 games..
