    signing players ike McCann who may take weeks nay months to get up to speed will keep us up?

    As shown in your list - I thought we'd go down then and i still do now. I don't see what has changed to change your attitiude.

    At the start of the season I would have welcomed McCann as a squad player because we hadn't got cover for Togwell and Howard
    I would have also welcomed any similar level players for cover for the team
    But I would have really really welcomed a couple of strikers to get on the end of crosses being put in by two quality wingers (Devaney + McIndoe) at that time.
    After match comment by Ritchie (after every match)........."we have to start taking our chances"
    How many times does a bloke after say this before he does something about it
    And also one maybe two experienced centre halves wouldn't have gone a miss

    and unfortunately the BUT said

    "if you absolutely back me into a corner and are asking if we stick with the current squad and make no further additions in August keeping this squad until Xmas then the answer is
    No the squad wont be fine - it doesnt have enough strength in depth.

    But the deadline isnt This Saturday its one month away - I expect to see some activity and a couple of players in by then. "

    The bit which I didnt expect was the fact that we wouldnt make any additions to the squad I take little comfort in the fact that I was right with my but

    Well let's see.


    We were outside the relegation zone when Ritchie was sacked and we had the same squad.

    Now we've got rid of McIndoe and brought in some loan players, so no longer have the same squad, and we are in the relegation zone!

    Let's see how mant "experienced centre halves" are brought in now the supposed cause of not fecthing them in has been removed - Andy Ritchie

    If we make the right signings then fine, well done GS and SD. If we don't or only sign players of questionable qulaity as per McCann then for me we are only better off in terms of numbers not quality.
