I seriously hope we never ever get a take over at Barnsley

well at least not like the most of the prem clubs.. Cardiff being the most recent. Vincent Tan is quite clearly thinking on the same lines as Abrovitch (spelling) at Chelsea. The whole lot are rotten.. If Barnsley dropped even to the conference yet remained the kinda team I remember from the 60's then that would do for me.... Slowly but surely Football is becoming less and less attractive

I find it incredible that you say Abramovich is thinking on the same lines as Vincent Tan? When was the last time you even heard Abramovich even speak let alone make ridiculous statements like the plonker at Cardiff makes. Have you seen Abramovich change anything about Chelsea other than make them a global name and European champions.
Like yourself I don't like the way football has gone over the previous 10 to 15 years, but in my mind it is was the FA and greedy chairmen that sent football down the path it now treads. The likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal sought to make rich clubs richer by creating the premier league, and oh how I laugh when I see the then less successful clubs (Chelsea, Man City,) wiping the smile off their faces.
Many say that sky has an hand in the situation, but the money they put in the game could make this nation world cup champions were it spent wisely instead of fueling the greed. In my opinion the creation of the premier league was a great idea but the distribution of wealth was abhorrent.

This isn't intended as a dig pal, but you'd do well to remember this next time we're losing at half past four on a Saturday. We are doing things the right way, and to carry on that way requires fans to be extremely patient and supportive of the club when struggling to compete against the rest of the league. Which as you say, is full of ugly teams with ugly money behind them.

Hopefully the tide will turn one day.

Isn't FFP supposed to go some way towards preventing owners from throwing unlimited amounts of money at clubs?

Your thoughts are crossed there in my opinion - If you think the distribution of wealth was abhorrent then on what basis was the creation of the Premier League a great idea? The whole point of the creation of the Premier League was to distribute the money less evenly - it was the sole reason for its creation. The top clubs always had an issue with wealth distribution through the 4 leagues when they 'earned' it all. So they chose to break away and ensure that the wealth was distributed only amongst the top league.
