aye...thats been swept well and truly under the carpet...last of that methinks another great bit of the "Stronger Together" theme ....NOT.
Be Good To See It Back Not many clubs can say they had their own radio station. The team got **** on with how they were treated. The signal was *****.
I miss listening to it driving home when I said driving home, I actually meant to the bottom of Doncaster road before I lost the signal
Really? I just cant be arsed typing out stuff that you probably looked at but didn;'t read. Use a search under Oakwell 1575 at the time it shut down look for stuff by Journo Tyke or Matt1575 or summat because I cant be arsed to do it for such an ignorant child as you.
ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz (zzz) (blagger) (zzz) (blagger) (zzz) (blagger) (zzz) (blagger) (zzz) (blagger) (zzz)
Not the club's fault though May I clarify that. The person who bought the station under false pretences to seemingly make money and then screw everyone over is the culprit.
RE: Not the club's fault though Werent they meant to be updating the equipment as to reach a wider listening audience but didnt do it so the plug was pulled? or something along those lines??
RE: Not the club's fault though Nope nothing like that, it was as I stated. The club didn't own the station. They paid some of the costs but weren't responsible for updating equipment. Not sure if they actually coughed up any money to the owner or not for it though, hopefully not as he's now bankrupt apparently. This season could have been brilliant, and would have been if I wasn't ousted out and the owner hadn't conned everyone.
I used to like your interviews with simon davey I realise you couldn't ask as many pointed questions as you'd like, but they were a damn site better than radio dee daa's rush through an half arsed interview to get back to someone who hasn't been to hillsboro today but is ringing in to praise all things wednesday
Thanks Means a lot mate. Apparently even the reserved questions I asked him though were too difficult, and that he'd 'expect those type of questions from someone at the Daily Mirror but not from someone from the club's own station.' Ah well, it's water under the bridge now.
I can't answer that question Not for me to speculate on here. I think it should have continued and could have been for relatively minimal costs (some of which could be made up from advertising), but there we go. There were other parties who wanted to take it over but the decision was taken to stop it altogether. I don't really know why.
having had that kind of access it must be a bit of a climb down being an ordinary joe supporter these days.
I do miss it Especially when I feel a complete injustice, but there we go... people make mistakes and certain staff at Oakwell made them. It's water under the bridge now, I don't hold anything against anyone. But to be honest the great times I'm having running the supporters football team more than make up for it. We're playing a full game at Prenton Park at the end of the season, can't wait. I don't think the club appreciated just how much I tried to do for Barnsley FC.
