Think he would be worth a shot, he's a free transfer so what have we got to lose. Always rated him, and it would be a shame him going to a league 1 club when i reckon he'd b able to do a job in the Championship for a club like ours.

Did he not make some disparaging remarks about us some years ago?

I'd sign him and bring Davor Sukur out of retirement !

    Imagine a Sukur-Dickov partnership ! :D

Seriously, I like Dickov. Annoying little **** who could cause problems. However, it has been said on here this week in more than one discussion that both Daniel Nardiello and Miguel Mossto both struggled for the Redsbecasue they were intelligent players who liked playing off defenders and waiting for the killer pass. Dickov is in the same mould. Barnsley haven't played a killer pass for about 4 seasons now, so I really think Dickov would struggle too unless we shake tactics up a little.

Fair point, but i reckon on a free transfer its a gamble we should be willing to take. If we were paying 700k for him like we've been rumored to be offering for Kevin Kyle then i'd probably pass, but because he's a free transer theres not much for us to lose.
