...lets just Davey on our home form. Don't forget last season our away form was terrible. That isn't gonna change just because they've had a bit of a break. We came through ok last season because up until the cup run, it really was fortress Oakwell, I'm sure it can be again, and with that the confidence will come and the away form will be better. I'm not worrying. There's a long way to go, they shouldn't even publish league tables until November as they mean nothing. As the season pans out I'm sure we'll finish around mid-table.
and we should all sweep our rubbish under the rug , it means nothing sorry fella, but his rsults over the past year are just by no means acceptable in the league. With this man we are going nowhere. At best we are standing still, but I suspect we are going backwards.
I've read your post over and over again and to be quite honest I'm trying to connect yesterdays result with your thoughts about away draws. It seems, and correct me if I'M wrong but, are you satisfied just to drift along and merely survive on the off chance that we might get a draw away from home leaving up to home wins to survive? Are you sure you're not in a state of denial and wishing the critics would go away. You say you are not worrying and that there is a long way to go. What do you base your optomistic future on? What is going to happen which will give people like me hope for a positive turn around? I do apologise if you think I'm having ago. I'm not, it's just a case of desperation within myself who sees this manager as a sole destroyer of this club. I could be more optomistic myself if I thought the man was able to look , learn and change accordingly. But, it would seem that his personality type is going to send this club down the swanee and there appears to be no one to stop him. We have to stand back and watch the demise. I don't think for one moment this man is deliberately destroying our beloved club but I do feel that he has'nt, cognitively, the ability to see and visualise the root problem. Rant over but frustrations still there.
Either you are a wind up merchant or living in a dream world So far this season away from home we played 4 lost 4 - where are the draws? You are happy to rely on home form to keep us up - so lets assume for one moment we manage the spectacular away form we generated last season - a total of 15 points. Just to acheive safety we need to get the same points as we did at home - a total of 40 points from 23 games 1.75 points per game The second half of last season 12 games since Boxing day we actually managed 16 points thats 1.3 points per game - not exactly Fortress like. That Fortress Oakwell was only the first half of last season. Nothing I have seen this season gives me any hope that we will do any better than we have been doing all year. 30 points at home and 15 away is unfortunately relegation nailed on. And based on our away performances this season 15 points is looking downright optimistic.
and when this man is talking this way, then its time to worry a very hopeful and optomistic guy, but when he talks this way its a worry.I notice too that many many other die hard optimists are slowly but surely hearing the alarm bells too and making comment to that effect.Simon Davey surely has his days numbered.
