the defence.

BUT...3 changes to the back 4? Kin'ell, how many teams would cope with that? Carbon and Hassell rushed back, Heckingbottom making his debut and Austin playing out of position. Yet at the end of 90 minutes, we lost by 1 goal, and are 1 point from the play-off spots again, with a game in hand over Chesterfield in 6th.

Like at Yeovil....its one game. Lets see what happens in the next game now. Chesterfield won't win every game between now and the end of the season, and i think we'll win more than they will. But you can't have an opinion on the BBS can you?

I'd also like to point out the amount of games we've played recently. It seems like every Saturday/Tuesday at the minute, and christmas time is manic for fixtures anyway.

I, for one, still believe it can be done, and i don't care if its in 6th spot!

11 more wins would give us 75 points.

There are 18 games remaining (I think).

75 does not guarantee a playoff though. But it would be pretty close.

    Any predictions?

    19 games left....

and i think looking through the fixtures we'll get another 35 points, which will give us 77.

Going to be close......but i think we'll get in!

    RE: I haven't...

must admit colchester have peaked a little early let,s just hope they blow themselves out, allthough southend seem to have got a second wind, still think we need a goalscorer to cement our place in the top 6.

    Forest are truly appalling ,

they are making a valiant effort to buy there way out of this league.

However they have a 1 trick pony manager.

They will not get to the play-offs.

I think 77 might win this league.

At the most the Champs will get 81-81.

This league is appalling and all sides are quite capable of at least drawing with everyone else. There isnt a consistent team amongst us.

I think a similar situation is arising in league 2 also.

The fixture list of SoccerBase seems to be incorrect

    Hello Lee,

I counted up the remaining fixtures on SoccerBase(and there are 18 remaining).

Of course, you are correct. The away match at Bournemouth is not listed.
Than you for the correct info.

    That'll explain it then...

and i'm still going for 77 points. We'll see how close they get...

    Also

I'd be very surprised if 85+ points will be needed this season to secure an automatic promotion place . Come the beginning of May , I don't think there'll be anywhere near the gap in points separating 1st and 7th places as there's been in the past . Success and failure may well be a VERY fine line .

    I agree...

we are 8 points either side of 1st, and 17th, if you get what i mean...so many teams ALL thinking they can make the top 6.

    Very very close indeed.
