I didn't see their second goal but the rest of the goals came about because there was so much space in front of our centre backs.
That is to say that it was their midfielders that were scoring and not their forwards.

Perkins was left exposed and on at least two occasions he switched off allowing their midfielders to run in on our goal.

The diamond formation is fine if you are up against the usual Championship standard - but when up against the quality that Forest have got then the formation has to be flexible and change if necessary.

In saying all this - in my opinion we still have the best management team in this division.
This is the team I would have gone to after they scored the first goal

    ..........................Alnwick
    Stones.......Foster.........Wiseman........Golbourne
    ..................Perkins........Dawson
    ..........Done...........Mellis.............Eththu
    ..............................Rose

There are a few players that put the effort in but are struggling to compete at Championship level, including:

    Done
    Harewood
    Daggers
    Cywka

The sooner a new owner can be found to release a bit more funding for players the better it will be for all concerned

    He didn't play a 'diamond'

He went back to the system from last year with 2 wingers and Mellis behind Harewood. Without Dagnall up top and a player in front of the back 4 we looked really open.

Difficult because we've not scored enough using that system but were conceding when we don't play it.
