...a bit like Johnson has Raab. That way he could send them out to the press conference, they'd say something batshit mental, get a good kicking, and we'd all forget the predicament we're in.
How is Shopps Conways scapegoat.? He was offered the job on presumably more wages and the chance to operate in one of the best leagues in the world. If its regarding the transfer window I find it strange that when Stendl,Struber and Val were employed they all commented on the clubs policy and it been the way forward. When things got a bit tough both Stendal and Struber were calling out about the system. The only person who didn't was Val who earned respect from his players and fans alike by finding a system that worked for everybody and didn't complain. Vals song should be " When the going gets tough".It doesn't apply to the other 2 does it.
Are you suggesting that one of the assistant managers goes on national TV speaking up against mysogyny against men?
Val got what he wanted in January so no need to call them out. Would have been interesting to hear his views on the transfer window if he'd stayed.
You've got to admit though Helen, Struber and especially Stendel went to great lengths to big up the BFC plan but the first sign of problems they went against it. I agree Val got what he wanted in the transfer window,a 25 and 20 years old striker. Struber did the best deal signing Sollbauer,Stendel not so good signing Radlinger, etc.
I think Schopp has a bunch of things to be aggrieved about. Unfortunately I don't see him having any sort of plan / policy to get the best out of 90% of the players we retained from last season & his unwillingness to use use young talent like Gomes & Vita, when others are underperforming is baffling. Cole was sidelined & finally got a start on Saturday. Is he just clutching at straws? I see no clear ideology. Sticking to 3-4-3 is killing us, as we are not creating chances. Red Light Spells Danger, can't hold out much longer.
No doubting the results the signings made in January had, but… Dyke was a complete and utter gamble and no one could have predicted the impact he had Morris given his previous years and injury issues again was a gamble, which to an extent paid off last season(bear in mind he wasn’t fully fit either). What I’m trying to say is the signings we make sometimes(most) pay off some don’t, if Dike and the rest of team hadn’t done so well, people on here would have said Dike was a waste of time and Morris injury prone.
It was a tongue-in-cheek comment. For the record I'm not calling for Schopp's head. By all accounts Morais had a relegation clause in his contract, I suspect there to be one in Schopp's too. Hence, he'll be fired if we go down (possibly without compo) and he'll be retained if we stay up.
We had a guy at work who soooo obviously brought in a scapegoat, because he was so out of his depth is was unreal. Thing is, they soon saw through him and he got kicked out years ago. The woman he brought in is still there and in a better position.
