the people who said we cant sack davey after 7 or so games had a point, which has been proven by the last 7 or so games. However i think we also have to realise a little run of good form is the same as bad we cant judge from it.

it interesting how the people who backed davey are now saying look we were right by using a short spell of games to prove there point when anti davey posts were dismissed by some saying you cant judge on just a few games.

Suppose we wont know how judge the team until the end of the season, i still have my doubts about Davey but one thing is for sure recent result have made me look foolish in that respect and long may that continue!

The people who said back Davey... Were saying give him time while his best players get fit, and that means MATCH fit. Now they are, we're seeing the results.
we're seeing results against poor teams....... we won't know if we've really improved until after christmas, when hopefully if we have, we'll be comfortable in mid-table.
bristol city weren't poor, played us off the pitch for half a hour we could have been in trouble if they had decent strikers.
RE: The people who said back Davey... no now we are seeing some results there is still a long way to go, and a lot of questions to answered about the amount of players we have signed and see nothing of.
big call that paul, don't think they're worse than forest ,donny, charlton, norwich to name 4. even put fowls in there too
its just I said so before the season started and.............. their recent form is poor-I think their bubble will burst-hope so for McIndoe and Trundle's sake-mean spirited aren't I ?
RE: The people who said back Davey... Its not just Davey that makes bad signing, evey manager makes them. Its all about results and Davey is getting them now he has his strongest team. If Davey signs a player and doen't play him because he's not up to it. That must be better than trying to convince us that he is good enough.
I said the same thing to my Dad on Saturday evening - 6 poor results doesn't mean we're doomed, and 6 good results don't make us world beaters.
That said, the thing that has most impressed me is the improved performances, at times we've played so lovely stuff of late, and we're starting to look much stronger at the back and in midfield, and starting to score a few! Added to this is 2 away wins, which whilst against poor teams, they still needed to be won
I'm looking forward to see where we are after these next 2 months

You could see why we had 6 poor games there were plenty of reasons why it happened. Now you can see why we have started to get the right results the team can change formation 2 or 3 time without any subs being used (something that Davey doesn't get credit for) and if we add a striker in the next transfer window I can't see us looking back.
6 good results certainly doesn't make us world beaters But it definitely means we have a chance of staving off relegation. Something that many people posting on here didn't give us a chance of unless we sacked Davey.
RE: 6 good results certainly doesn't make us world beaters that is true and as i said fair play to simon davey for showing the character to keep goingand get the results under all that pressure
but look where we were last season at this time. if we have the same second half to a season this year as we did last from this league position we're screwed.
I thought he handled the pressure very well As I genuinely believe that had we lost to either Doncaster or Sheff Wed then he would have lost his job. I'm very happy it didn't come to that. I think we still may struggle for goals and I'm not yet convinced that Davey can turn us from relegation strugglers to a Championship side that is safe in midtable, but I thought sacking him was the wrong thing to do and I believe he deserves the chance to try to take us to that next level.
But there's no sign of that happening unless we get some more freak injury's and losing players in the transfer window.
there was also no sign of muller and da silva getting injured last either. what happens if da silva and colace get injured again?? bact to bobby at DM, we're doing fine now while the team is fully fit (like someone said in an earlier post) but i do still worry about our strength in depth for the midfield.
What do you think he is lacking? What do you think we, as a team, are lacking?
Do you think it's just a case of a new striker? I believed a few games back that simply signing a new striker would have little/no impact as we were creating no chances, but I genuinely believe now if we could sign a goalscorer then things could really push on.
I also think we have no real back up to Colace/Anderson. We know Leon has ability, but like many others, I'm not fully convinced he's suited to the championship on a match by match basis.
I think some quality, natural, left sided improvements are a must, be it at left back and/or left midfield

Agreed We now have a good, seemingly balanced (for the most part) starting XI. It pretty much picks itself, and no we're looking capable of keeping things tight at the back with possible signs of a few goals in us. I'll be interested how we fare against the better teams, and what, if anything, happens in the January transfer window with regard to strengthening
