It does look that way,

none of the others are the complete package the lad Anderson appears to be.

Probably a bit over the top , but reminds me of Viera.

It will be a big hole to fill should he go back.

How come he does not have to have his Birth name on his shirt?

    RE: could it be because

Hassellbaink had " Jimmy" on his shirt while he was at Leeds.
Strange rule anyway, if he chooses to be know as Bruma why is he not allowed to be called that on his shirt?

He's from Brazil and I do believe they have some sort of dispensation from FIFA to do that sort of thing.

Kaka, Pele, Cafu, and Dunga are all nick names.

Thats if we don't manage to keep him. I think he is out of contract at the end of the season so it might not cost that muvh to sign him. Not sure about his wages though. I also think that Everton might offer him a new contract but leave him on loan here for the season. Can see something similar happening with Lewin too.

    Don't panic

Firstly, classy as he is, he isn't going to displace any of Everton's first-choice midfielders. They need him as cover and so it's better for them if he's getting some competitive games so he's roughly up to speed should he be needed. However, long-term loan arrangements are more difficult to recall players from so a series of short-term loans suits Everton better.

This is of speculation, of course, and indeed Everton may recall him tomorrow. You are right in that none of our replacements are in the same class. However, McCann is not a natural, or even particularly good in my opinion, left wide man. A dogged trier with a mean free kick and worth his place in the side at the moment. But that means no start for Devaney, who has been on fine form from the bench. A midfield four of JCR-Howard-McCann-Devaney is not a notion that worries me one bit. Togwell and Johnson for cover and it isn't all bad.

Also, if we can keep this form up, if and when De Silva goes back, a top-half Championship side playing good, attractive football, should be an attractive proposition for potential replacements. And anyway, what's one man when the whole team are playing as well as they are? It'd be a disappointment to lose him but a disaster? I don't think so.

    McCann in the middle???

He is a total lightweight who seems to have lost the ability to move faster than a speedwalk.

If push comes to shove Togwell would have to play just for his ability to get round the park.
