I think this would be a good start to solving the obvious problems defensively

Cant afford to play someone who drops a clanger a game

as much as Souza has looked composed at times, he's cost us goals and for that he has to be dropped. The sooner Hassell is back at right back the better, cos Kozluk has been disappointing as well. Werling looks great going forward but leaves us wide open.

all in all, glad of a 2 week break to get it sorted.

I'd have Werling left side midfield, Devaney on the right and Jamal-No-Need-To-Sign-Him as back up.

I think the 3 centre backs have all looked better when playing 4-4-2-I hope the switch to 3-5-2 wasn't just to accommodate Reid?

    and where is Bruma??

I just don't think he's sure of his best XI yet.

Or what formation to play them in.

It's to be expected when so many come in over such a short period of time. Plus he needs to sort which ones aren't going to make it.

    unfortunately..

    Scnuthorpe H

    Stoke A

    Southampton A

    Cardiff H

doesn't give him much leeway to experiment-we could easily get "nul point" from these 4 games

    Who knows ?

It's all on his shoulders now.

He's brought an entire new squad in. One would have hoped when he signed these players that he had some idea as to their strongest position/qualities etc. However, things aren't always that simple and if he's not careful he could find out that he's bought himself a heap of hard work.

Theres only one way to improve our defence

Regardless of the playing formation and the full backs and midfield have to stop making stupid mistakes that cost goals. I noticed that they appeared to be playing a certain formation and for no apparent reason it suddenly changes (Plymouth last week) and its not a change for the better but for worse.
when we were winning why change (you dont mend owt thats not broken) (doh) (doh)
