Two creative and unpredictable players who can 'unlock doors'. Baffled that Mellis doesn't start regularly.

Are you really baffled by it? Do you not remember the statement last year about Mellis only having one good game when he was here on loan before? He has got a different DNA to the other midfielders Flicker plays, he uses the ball to beat the opponents, rather than run his blood to water chasing around like a dog after a rabbit.

Mellis was the only one in a Red shirt who didn't look completely out of place on that pitch.

I think most fans would agree with you but sadly we don't influence team selections.

    We're playing

Two of the Championship's better footballing teams at Oakwell this week, which may allow the two lads a better chance to express themselves. If Dawson is fit to start, then I can see him & Perkins providing the graft which would allow Mellis and Cywka to do provide the creativity. There's so much still to play for with about a quarter of the season still to go. We're one point from safety, with two games in hand. I'm somewhat surprised a number of fans have already thrown in the towel and accepted the inevitability of relegation.

No chance of that just yet, but to have a chance Flicker has got to very quickly stop tinkering with the line up and get back to the basics that provided us with the long winning run in Jan / Feb.

To be fair, those basics included stones and golbourne. We've lost both

Mellis WILL play on Tuesday. Flicker said in hindsight he should have started Mellis.

    I think that's fair

I believe we have the personnel to get the job done, on and off the field. Aside from forced changes, it's my opinion we should try and keep team alterations to a bare minimum, when possible.

Flicker is learning. He's said this himself. We have a top top manager, but he's going to make mistakes. The only way anyone learns is by making mistakes. We have enough to get out of trouble.

Mellis has got to start every game. He is a match winner. But I have been saying it all season and have been amazed all season to see him on the bench, or not even in the squad.
