You all know whats coming...a team that'll play football. Its always been Danny's style, and its never changed. They'll keep the ball down, pass through the midfield and give it everything!
If we play like we have been doing recently...i can see it happening. Defeat. Our midfield are non exsistant at the minute. Its going to have to change tomorrow, or we'll struggle.
My team:
Colgan, Heckingbottom, Hassell, Carbon, Reid, Shuker, Devaney, Howard, Burns, Hayes, Nardiello.
Subs: Flinders, Austin, McPhail, Richards, Wright.
AND ITS GOT TO GO THROUGH THE MIDFIELD!

Depending if Howard/Hecky pass fitness tests.. I'd try: Colgan Austin Reid Carbon Heckingbottom Shuker Burns Howard Devaney Hayes ......Nardiello. Although I wouldn't mind if it was Wright. Subs Hassell Kell McPhail Wright/Nardiello Flinders Don't get me wrong, I rate Hassell, but Austin should be tried at right back if Heckingbottoms fit. JUST going with Howard over McPhail due to goal threat, and Nardiello probably has earned the right to be given a chance by default, due to the others underperforming. I don't think Kell should be judged on simply the game at Walsall either. Just my thought. 2-0 Reds. Hayes to get one, the other striker, whoever it may be, to get the other.
And? Tamworth are in the conference, Stoke are in the Championship. They (Stoke) struggled. I can't remember saying i think we'll lose. I said i think we'll struggle.
Its a 2 horse race over 90 minutes. I don't think there is anything 'certain' in football. Results over the years should prove this!

I'm with you... i thought hard bout Hassell/Austin and whether Kell should be included. I think i'd be tempted with 2 strikers on the bench though, and McPhail pips Kell...
I just rate Hassell. Not sure what it is, i just think he's done a great job. And so has Austin, nobody can fault commitment, its just my preference that Hassell gets in.

RE: I'm with you... haasell better header of the ball, better passer, better going forward no contest hassell everytime for me!
I would have 2 strikers on the bench.. If I thought Richards could make an impact if brought on. I don't, and I see no situation where we'd need two strikers on the bench. If worst came to the worst, I'd suggest Shuker and Devaney were both capable of a temporary move upfront for half an hour if needed. I also rate both Hassell and Austin, but Austin would get the nod for this one. Mainly because I prefer Hassell as a centre-half, and due to the fitness worries that plague Reid and Carbon, having Hassell on the bench if one got injured would mean less of a defensive re-shuffle.
Win for the reds tomorrow. IF they are a footballing side then it will give us a better chance. Its the teams that come to spoil and defend deep that we struggle against. I fully expect us to win tomorrow.

Austin has lost his confidence totally, He was appalling against Walsall, which was quite impressive he managed to stand out as being so bad when everyone was rubbish.
I think he needs a break as he does not have the pace to deal with anyone who can run faster than a jog.

How come we were crap at Walsall then?? They played football and we were 2nd best all night.
Admittedley it may have helped if we realised that stopping them getting the ball to Mads Timm might have helped.
Oh and Walsall have geniune pace up front and out wide where as we don't.
We have played our best football when we have pressed and got after the opposition in my opinion.

RE: How come we were crap at Walsall then?? Because we simply werent up for it on the night. Just looking at the Bradford game as an example of two teams playing football and creating a lot of opportunities. Its ok us getting at them like we always seem to do but If the early goal doesnt come like it did against Oldham and Scunny then we really struggle to break through. Thats when I think we have a better chance against a team thats going to come and show some adventure.
RE: Austin has lost his confidence totally, And how do you know that? Has he personally told you hes lost his confidence or are you qualified to tell from a distance.
So... if we play as badly as we did on Tuesday night, you think we'll win?
I don't, but thats not saying i think we'll lose, cos a) i don't think we could possibly play that bad, ever again and b) i think we'll play better and win.
I'm just pointing out that MK Dons will play football. And if we try and use the 'long ball' crap, were in for a long afternoon!

Well the ease in which players are cruising past him , would indicate he has either lost confidence in himself to stop them or he doesnt have the ability to stop them.
I have seen him play mostly full-back in the games I have been to this season and to be honest he hasnt looked up to it.
Maybe he has a chance at Centre-Half where he cant get isolated in 1-on-1 situations as often.
I aint being negative I am just saying it as I see it.
Also Shuker and Devaney need either a break or a rocket up their arse as they have been next to useless in the last 6 or 7 games.
