at the moment is this "takeover" talk, i mean we dont know just how far along this road we are, if indeed we are at all; the newbies maybe saying hang on IF we take over we'll want our own man in and dont want to be paying x amount to get shut of someone who's only been in the job 2 minutes ( like berg) also does the board want to spend money on players the new gaffer ( if theres one on the horizon) does'nt want ?, its all well and good hearing 2 drunks in a pub talking then adding your own bit and trying toget the VERY LITTLE that we know to fit your "facts" like some members do on here. i think that a big percentage on here realise that we as a club need to do something about this situation we've been in for a few years ( for me its since basset left not that it had anything to do with him, i think in general thats when football started to slip ). basically, WE KNOW NOWT, WE AINT GONNA FIND OWT OUT, WE'LL FIND OUT WHEN IT HAPPENS, ALL WE CAN DO IS SUPPORT OUR TEAM TO OUR FULLEST.......... ( insert name)'s red and white army
I honestly beleive that the takeover thing is the sole reason why Hill hasn't lost his job at the moment. It would be silly to sack a manager when talk with a group are ongoing or maybe at an advanced stage. If anyone takes over they will probably want their own man in so whats the point in sacking a manager, employing a new one then sacking the new one a few weeks or months down the line. I said it when it first got rumoured, this takeover will make or break the club and at the minute, its breaking it. Everyone is being held to ransom by it. No Scoreboard because of it. Same manager because of it. No outgoings for players because of it. Same directors and board because of it. Its not one mans fault. the whole thing is costing us our Championship place. Nobody knows whats going off behind the scenes but somebody should come out and tell us the truth in whats happening. If they dont, they stand to lose a lot. Fans are going down, turnover will go down, players heads will go down, staffs heads will go down. PLEASE DON, TELL US WHERE WE STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats what i mean, i dont know if there is or isnt, i mean i'd love us to be a russian/arab billionaires little hobby, and be saying well if i save a few quid i can go to juventos away in the champs league ( sorry brandy fuddled flashback) we just dont know so lets get behind the team. there's people on here saying we should do this or that, well if they're that good why aint they in football management, all we can do is support
Surely we could get someone in on a short-term contract to end of season, with view to a £ bonus and carrot-dangle a Contract if we stay up. Everything is negotiable......FACT.
Potential take over didn't stop Leeds sacking their manager and getting Warnock in. Would be even sillier to keep a manger at the expense of going down, for the sake of a takeover that may never happen. To be honest if we go down it probably wont happen
More chance of Daggers scoring a hat-trick tmro. More chance of McNulty receiving the ball and instantly taking it under control and passing it. More chance of the TV's being switched on. Btw, the ones in the Exec boxes are all switched on. More chance of me winning the nobel prize.
