.............but we were a shade better. Coventry never laid down they worked their socks off right up until the final whistle. They will be there or there about at the end of the season. That was an hard fought game. We have a good set of players some of them able to step up in to the Championship.
I thought they were rubbish tbh. Keeper pass it to a defender, pass it around the back four for a bit and then hoof it. Wasn't great. And their keeper was so *****
I thought Crewe were better on Setdy. Coventry, to me looked like they'd come to lose, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder intit.
Coventry were not good. They tried, but failed, to play football on a night when the weather and a hungry team were against them. Their passing out from the back was utterly dreadful at times. And their apparent source of creativity was a bloke with a late 60's John Peel hairstyle. First half they were shocking. Throughout the ref kept them in the game by favouring them We're used to teams attacking us late in the second half - it seems to be every Barnsley player's contractual term that they allow the opposition to try and scare our fans half to death in the last 10 minutes. But that game wasn't "hard fought". We were many shades better.
i wasn't impressed at all. i thought they huffed and puffed and look like a team devoid of ideas if armstrong doesn't score
It's.................................Nudge. Take with a pinch of salt. Coventry were awful. Sure, we gifted 'em a squeaky moment or two, but I thought they were really terrible.
I thought they were a really poor side. One thing I really noticed was how little they closed our midfielders down when we had the ball, very strange not to as the last thing you'd want to do is give Connor and Josh time and space. Reminded me of Everton who also didn't really put much pressure on us when we had the ball.
Its was only the quick thinking of Mawson that kept Armstrong from being in on goal on numerous occasions - a lesser defender would have had a nightmare against him. And when Murphy got the ball he looked a real handful - especially in the first half. Remember they had a few good attempts on goal - there was a few scrambles to get the ball away or shots blocked, I think one was kicked off our line - and when we scored the second they seem to have all of the play after that - we just relied on break aways. They looked dangerous throughout and if they had scored one I think there confidence would have lifted and they would have gone on to score more. So in my opinion they were good...........but we were even better...........which makes our performance excellent
Everybody thinks Coventry were crap, Nudger says they were very good. Standard. How did Freddie Eastwood play last night?
I think its always the case...........when a team loses most people just believe that the team played rubbish. But if you watch the match instead of just counting the goals then often there is a different conclusion
I listen to what people have to say............but unlike some on here..........I'm not a parrot Or is it a sheep?.................anyway its one of the two
........ ..................... ............................. ...................................... ........................................................
They were terrible, they reminded me of us on our bad run, devoid of ideas devoid of any confidence. They looked marginally better in the 2nd half but on a whole they were very poor and don't look a promotion winning side. Sent from my iPhone
Did you get a good deal on those ....................................s, Nudge? Works out to buy in bulk sometimes.
I felt like they never showed up. Was a bit disappointed was looking forward to seeing a few of their players in action
Who the **** was that 'keeper' they used?? I'm not sure he'd ever set foot on a football pitch before. Wondered if he'd won a prize at school or summat.
