I thought Davey said he wants to use 4-4-2 this season??

Well that was a funny looking 442. Hammill wandering about in the middle all too often. A right footed full back on the left wing.
Campbell ryce playing a defensive midfield role (before the sending off).
    No width whatsoever today!

And does Davey actually assign set piece training for the lads?? Looks like he doesnt give a toss about set pieces.

I'm not bothered about the "width" at all

It's not the be-all and end-all. The complete lack of shots on goal was the MOST alarming aspect of the game.

Today, Hammill wasn't even capable of putting a decent cross in from a CORNER kick.

    It was bizarre

In pre season, Butterfield looked lightweight but his corners and set pieces were good.
So we give the corners to someone else, who doesn't do them as well, whilst leaving the lightweight Butterfield and the casual (lazy?) Anderson to hold the centre of the park. JCR flattered to deceive but played too deep, then dropped to full back after Kozluk's mental 2 minutes left us short handed. Hammill was poor in every aspect.

There was no mechanism to create chances and none of the 4 strikers we saw today had a damn thing to work with. Meanwhile, there was no defensive steel either - the back 4 were overrun time and again. Just an out-and-out disaster. I can't pick out a "MOST alarming aspect". We didn't compete in any area of the park.
