I thought Hudds were as good a team as we've played this season

or are likely to play. I'm surprised to read that others didn't rate them. They were strong, fast, hard in the tackle and could pass the ball about well. They put us under a lot of pressure, but despite us being below par we didn't buckle. Well, not until we were reduced to ten men. We defended well, created a few chances ourselves and looked as though we were going to win it. For me that is every bit as good a performance as rolling over a team of useless cloggers. Just a shame we couldn't hold out.

As far taking the ball in to the corner with 5 minutes to go plus injury time. Don't do that again lads or there's a good chance someone will give you a well deserved slap.

Surely Swansea was better at their ground.

    didn't go so can't comment

I think if we finish above them we'll be in the automatic promotion positions. For me we proved today that we can compete with the best teams in this league even if we're not firing on all cylinders.

I thought they were very good & a neutral would probably have said they deserved to win. We should have had a penalty though, & they got away with a lot of fouling early on.

I thought their plan A was to hoof it to Booth, their plan B was to hoof it to Booth, and their plan C was to bring on Abbott and try a long ball to Booth.

    Maybe

But it's a tactic that works. Actually, I think you're being unfair on both Barnsley and Huddersfield there. I thought they offered a lot and i thought we coped with that pressure very well, where in the past we would have buckled. We also showed how well we can turn defence into attack.

    Aye...

Our second goal was a brilliant long-ball move wasn't it?

Only bit of passing we did all match...

Main tactic was to aim for the static lump Richards

Certainly a point gained today, Hudds were by far the better team in 2nd half, I think that if i were an Hudds fan, i would have been gutted coming away with nothing from that game.

They certainly did put us under a lot of pressure second half, but a mixture of poor finishing and some excellent last ditch defending kept them at bay.

At half time we felt Huddersfield would really have a go in the second half and thought that it would be crucial to take advantage of any breaks that came our way. Well, we managed to take one of them, but could possibly have had a couple more with a bit more composure. Very disappointed at the total waste of the free kick by Robbie W.

Just to show how 'switched on' I am in a game, couldn't understand why the sub didn't appear when Carbon went off - forgotten about the Tonge substitution at half time!

Burns MOM, Carbon close behind, plus a good game from Austin. Be interesting to see what Ritchie's first choice strike force is now that Wright has signed.

    Really Jay?

I thought both teams were poor and unable to string much together.

They are one of the better teams in this league.

think that,s a bit unfair, they passed the ball about better than barnsley, created more chances than barnsley, were too strong for us and we don,t have a prayer of the top 2 places coz unless teams are crap defensively ie scnuthorpe we struggle!
