I thought that gesturing for a card to be shown

was itself a bookable offence? It was in an earlier game

does anyone else think that if you dont give a penalty it should be a dive on almost every occasion? the ref's just contradict themselves. they are also (unlike motson says) rubbish, they blow every time a player hits the floor. I think ive only seen 3 passes put together without stopping for a freekick in most games.</p>

A player could be off balance from a tackle and go over in the area without a foul and without him diving
