their fans would sound REALLY loud, but they didn't seem to be from where we were! Was that because: a). we were much louder? b). my preconceptions of the acoustics of an enclosed stadium were incorrect? c). I'm a deaf old git? d). I imagined it?
There was that little column beside our fans who sang. Rest were really quiet. Outnumbered but never outsung!
Makes a pleasant change from all those "quiet" days at Oakwell when 8000 of us are outsung by a few hundred away fans! My voice went in the first half, then came back, then seemed to "break" (which happened about 25 years ago!) then worked fine until we left Cardiff! I now sound like the Dalek version of Barry White!!!!
RE: Hopefully... Unfortunately, after the good weather goes, I suspect we'll be back to a level of home attendance not greatly increased on this season. Should be more away fans though. Hope I'm wrong!
Agreed... they we 2-1 up and still dint sing like us.... we were reyt next to them on the east side (M32)and never heard em until they scored?? Must like first division football??
