2 have already said no (if they were shortlisted) what of the other 3 then? And what does this say about the calibre of people who have actually applied for the job?
well from the media it looks like Megson and Blackwell are 2 of them Not sure who the third is - though some stoies only had 4 on the shortlist so its all guesswork That said when you draw up a shortlist based on the applications - you might find that on further research / interviews etc you decide that some candidates arent suitable anyway - Blackwell for example but its not really the done thing to go public and say we have rejected xxxx I suspect having lost their first 2 candidates there is some thinking going on about the options rather than just working through the shortlist. Your comment about calibre isnt really that relevant - we could have applications from people we dont think are seriously likely to come but are just
