to see a performance like that. The second half was very frustrating. But the inability of some of our 'fans' to maintain any control of their emotions is laughable / a bit of a disgrace imo. Within seconds of conceding today there were quite a few behind me who thought it appropriate to shout abuse at some of the players. I heard "Cosgrove you're s##t", "f~~k off Watters, you're s##t", "O'Keeffe you w@@@@r".
Even the good bits Fabio Jalo produced was greeted with "He's a f@@@@@g kid and he's showing you how to do it you w@@@@@s".
And as I left the ground, I passed multiple 'fans' gesturing and abusing the players who'd come over to acknowledge the support.
Yep, all of that was completely warranted and proportionate lads.

This is why I don't bother with away games anymore. Too many bellends. Winds me up more than actually losing.

I went today and didn't do any gesticulating during or after the game. I saw those that did. And I sort of get why. You spend £100+, take a whole Saturday up to travel and support the lads and then they do that. Having been to all of our aways so far this season I think any abuse is premature, but I will never begrudge those that have spent their precious time and money showing their feelings after a terrible performance.

Support during the game was superb for what it's worth, even at 2-0 down.

Every one thinks they know better than the manager or players.

I quite agree. I experience very little of that sort of behaviour where I sit in East Upper, but when you go to away games, you have no idea who you might be sitting next to.

Genuine question - does it make them feel better do you think? I can't see how it would.

Genuine comment, ask the manager the tactics.

I think this is the problem. Football spectating is a significant investment these days. People expect to be entertained/win for their money, often ignorant of the opposing team getting their tactics spot on.

The two guys behind me moaned from the 1st minute to the last , we are going to get some good performances and some bads ones . There constant moaning was very annoying.

Yep. Heard and saw all of that. I was fairly central in row J, only about 4 rows from the back. The back row were making a lot of noise, banging on the back panel and singing. This died off as the game wore on, which is natural. And then as soon as we're behind, too many of them turned into loud ends of bells.

When I was buying my ticket and the site was offering front, middle or back, the middle was offering row D which I thought might be too low. So I nervously went for the option of back, which offered row J, hoping to god row J wasn't the very back with all the nobs. I was on the verge of moving, but stuck it out because it was a good view.

I can't bear some of our fans. Throwing bile at the players. Smoking inside the stadium because they can't go a couple of hours without a cig. Stood in the queue for the food/drinks throwing F's and kicking K's and even C's around stood next to their kids. I am glad I don't inhabit their world.

Folk who travel away deserve a lot of credit. It costs a lot of money so I can sympathise when they vent their feelings at such a meek surrender today. The same people will be at Old Trafford on Tuesday and at Burton next week. Cut them some slack….

Really spoilt me weekend, no way I'd abuse anyone for that abysmal showing. Cheered me up a tad with QPR's equaliser minst.

They don't deserve credit if they are hurling abuse at players, smoking in toilets or even urinating in washbasins.

Awful! I doubt I’ll ever be at another away game in my lifetime. It’s been a good 3 or 4 years since the last one.

You’re assuming that they are capable of any kind of rational thought or feeling. I doubt they are.

I remember going in town after getting back from Newcastle losing 6-1 (or 0) and this bloke saying I bet you wished you hadn't gone now I said why I didn't know the score before I set off.
Win some lose some its all part of the journey.

Didn't go today but watched, disappointed as the next man, but we have a serious bipolar fan base with an inability to apply any rational to a defeat.
We didn't deserve anything today, credit to Stevenage did a proper job on us, we'll bounce back, it's 6 games into a 46 game season, not that you'd know with some of the meltdowns.
Not a happy clapper just try to keep some balance and perspective.

S.hite day at the office it happens onto the next one.

I think a lot of posters on here need to go collect their teddies and stick them back in the prams. We have no divine right to beat anyone in this league nevermind a team who nearly got Into the play offs last season.

This is still very much a team getting used to their manager and vice versa, and that will take time for the tactics to fully sink in and we get fully cooking on gas.

Yes it was a bad result today but chuff me some of the reactions I've seen on here are over the top and embarrassing.

To be fair, he's got about a dozen, and he uses them all in every game.
