    Just on the TV

Lowest price in order to get Sky Sports 1 & 2

£34 which includes 2 mixes (goes up to £35 in Sept) - Depends what you want, you may wish to go for 4 mixes as it would only be another quid. Also they choose to put Sky Sports News in with the News mix so unless you included that you'd have the bizzare situation of having the sports channels but not sports news!

The extra mixes hardly cost anything more...

So your lower figure is the correct one, seen it advertised an any case.

    But

... isn't the Sky sports news included in the Freeview stuff anyway?

    No

At least I don't think so, I've seen comments on Digital Spy about it and if you look at the News mix it's listed there

    This is where I'm flummoxed!

<div>(seestars) </div><div>As far as I can understand it, I can have Sky Sports and all the main free channels, plus freeview stuff, plus 2 mixes, eg Variety and Knowledge for 35 quid.</div><div>I could also chuck in 'phone AND internet broadband for the same price, so it would be foolish to keep my BT 'phone and Wanadoo Broadband.</div><div>But - according to that, I would lose Sky sports News, which although is a normal freeview channel, is included as part of another mix I don't want!</div><div>It's just bloody silly!</div>

    RE: Sorry

Not gerrin' at you. I'm grateful for the advice. I suppose I can keep my freeview box anyway, so it doesn't have to be such a drama
