I'd give that a go. Personally, would swap Hourihane and Scowen around.

That said, harsh to drop Harris at the moment. Although him and Crowley from the bench should give most teams in this league something to think about.

yes maybe a good shout that just thought scowan busier getting onto any loose balls on edge of box, but maybe hourihane better shooting from front of midfield diamond

Scowen is nowhere near good enough to play behind the front two! He just isn't that type of player. He's a midfield scrapper (who I rate at this level) not someone who slots into the Craig Hignett role and creates chances and scores goals.

As for Mawson in midfield, no thanks...

I think Mawson could do a job in that role.

I'd stick with wingers as long as Harris is here but wouldn't be against a diamond once he goes back to Cardiff.

Not sure if Smith is suited to playing the wingback role but Wabara is ideal. Interesting to see if Mawson could play in the holding role, we could do with some height in midfield.

    3-5-2 is the way forward.

    Davies

    Wabara/bree
    Roberts
    Mawson
    Nyatanga
    Smith/Harris

    Pearson
    Scowan
    Crowley/Hourihane

    Winnall
    Smith/waktins/hourihane/Jackson

    Just IMO of course.

I hope we don't. Extra centre half in instead of a midfield player, no width and no one who can beat a player/run with the ball. Plus a manager who is overly cautious at the best of times. The game would be played entirely in our half as we pass between the midfield and the defence with no outlet on the wing and Watkins and Winnall tightly marked.
