I WANT TO REPAY SIMON - COULSON Posted on: Wed 13 May 2009 BARNSLEY striker Michael Coulson is determined to repay the faith shown in him by manager Simon Davey after being offered a new deal at the Club. Michael is currently three-and-a-half months into his rehab work after suffering his second cruciate knee ligament injury but is slowing battling his way back to fitness. Michael told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "I am delighted to have the offer of a new contract and there are a lot of people at the club who I need to repay, starting with the manager. He has stood by me and told me I would be getting a new deal the week after my injury, which was a massive boost. "Simon promised me the contract and he had stood by his word. Now I want to repay him by getting back fit. There's no way I am going anywhere else. "I am down at Lilleshall this week for some intensive training and hopefully will be able to get back kicking a football again in the next fortnight. I then just have to build things up doing running work as well as some twisting and turning. I have my targets in mind and the middle of August will be six months post operation so hopefully I can look to that. "I can't wait. I have been through a nightmare in the last three months and I just want to get back playing football". http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1656675,00.html
Good luck Michael hope he is fit and ready for the start of the season. I could see him playing a good supporting role from the bench at the start of next season.
