when i worked at Hansons wakefield
i came across this chap i,wont mention his name
came from wakefield area
like me he was a Korean Vet
but he had it rough
and was taken prisoner
now 5 of us were sent to manchester for a week
we had to stay there
we went to Liverpool
and took a consignment of whale meat fromliverpool to manchester
we worked all day and did not feel like going out even to the nearest pub
but one of the wrkers at Manchester said i know a good place in Bolton
i will take you for a night out
so every thing was arranged tranposrt and all that TAXI
we went to this pub, i was pleased they had a big worlitzer organ
i was happy listening to that
now i saw our work mate Korean vet
he was sat with a young woman
and was buying her her drinks
now i also spotted a few tables away a group of folk
and noticed that
she was one of them
as the evening went by
things were getting boozier
also getting closeing time
we ordered our taxi
our friend no where to be seen
we had a good idea what h was up to
we had to leave him
we could not do owt about it
we arrived at our digs in Manchester
but we could not ssrttle
wondering where he was
How ever he turned up about 3 amish
escorted by police
it turned out
that when he went outside with the girl
hoping to get you know what
the gang turned on him

he wiped the floor with them
no kidding
he ws not a big chap
but he was a fearless nutter
an xPOW of the Korean war
who had given life up in the 50,s
he was not aggresive
but treat him bad and that was it
nothing came of the trouble i hasten to add
