I saw what sacking managers year after year brought. Relegation, players sitting on the sidelines pulling in massive wages which eventually led to the nightmare of Administration. I thought that under Ritchie, things might change. We had 2 good years, then goodbye Andy. SD came in. I was prepared to give him a chance. We didn't play attractive football, but he kept us up that first season. His second looked like something might happen. The start which saw us in the top 6, and the great cup run. Credit where its due, he masterminded 2 wins over Champions League semi-finalists. The league suffered, but we said the cup had distracted us. This season was going to be one where come April, we were going to say what a boring end of the season it would be. Nothing to play for, as we lounged in mid-table mediocrity. That looks a million miles away. The result tonight looks worse than it was. Heinz cocked up twice, something unheard of last season. Old saying - "The goal keeper who doesn't make a mistake hasn't been born, and his mother's dead". Heinz will bounce back. He's class. But the manager? There is a long way to go this season, but we are getting stuck into the bottom 3, and I can't see how we are going to get out. We don't look like scoring a goal, and, despite the previous 2 clean sheets, we are conceding at a regular rate. When we go a goal down, I can't see how we will get back into it. The manager seems unable to make the changes either in personel, or tactics, which can change the game. We have to have a change of Manager. I don't like saying this, but I can't see anything else which will turn this season round. No use replying to me, I'm off to bed.
