if we had been just one goal per game better last season we would have had 89 points! a fine line indeed

 

So, had we scored an extra 46 goals we'd have done a lot better?

I think it's simple addition. If you had 1 sheep and bought another 1, you'd have 2 sheep.

I worked out that..

if we had scored 2 goals against Cardiff in the semi we would have been in the FA Cup final (provided they didnt score more than one)....

I was simply speculating that if we have strengthened in the close season either defensively or up front then we might just be able to be one goal a game better than last season
