Firstly I don't think that individually we have that many "bad" players. What we lack is some form of cohesion and tactical understanding to get the best from those players. When we have the ball we look clueless, lost, and in desperate need of someone to have told them prior to kick off how to play the ball. Secondly I'd like Paul Reid to be a man and stand up and admit that he is not ready or able to be a club captain. He cost us our second goal and the first was from his side of the centre. He panics and plays inadequate and pointless long balls. Thirdly I am going to let myself calm down and I am going to write a letter to Mr Shepherd on Thursday, when I am back in the office, and explain where I think things have gone wrong. I'm not going to make it personal, and I am going to make valid points that I would appreciate a non-patronising response to. Fourth, thanks to Rico for coming on and not letting that swap deal nonsense get in the way of him putting in some effort. Fifth, I am ashamed that I booed the players off. That I joined in with the "one Andy Ritchie". That I realised that Dirk's right about relegation. It is a horrible feeling when you consciously turn against the team that you so desperately want to support as your emotion gets the better of you. Finally, I have decided that I am going to stand for a position on the board of the Supporters Trust. That body needs leaders who are there for Barnsley, for its fans, for its future. Not for freeby England trips and tickets to Man United.
