I was wondering why Rooney did not sing the National Anthem..then I realised

"God Save our Gracious Queen"

well its a lot of words to string in one sentence , and one multi syllable too..... a bit hard for a scouser..and a Chav at that

 

While we're at it...

...I'd like a gripe too.

1) Who decided both teams would play in red and white?
2) Who designed that awful England kit with the blue shoulder stripes on it? Don't suppose it matters as nobody will be buying it.
3) How come the atmosphere for England games is completely different to that at club games? It's far too jolly, not helped by the drums and trumpets. Surely this affects the players somewhat. We need the aggressive atmosphere that they're used to.
4) How come Switzerland are peacing all over us?
5) How Jenas has just run into Rooney?
