excellent fitness and looked very sharp, looked slightly low on confidence in front of goal initially and was offside too much for a man with so much pace. He took his goal superbly and linked up well with other players in the second half and couldn't fault his work rate. All in all i really like him and think he has a few more goals in him before the end of the season
I thought he was terrible But then he scored a very good goal. I suppose I'd take a bad performance every game if he also scored.
RE: I thought he was terrible I thought he was poor before he scored, offside too many times, looses the ball, too weak at times. But he took his goal extremely well so i'll let him off...
a bit harsh got the wrong end of a few offside decisions. Never stopped running, made a couple of bad pass choices but took his goal well and could easily had another. 6/10
When you have players like him up front who will chase everything, and put defenders underpressure it makes the world of difference. The thing is tonight he wasnt the only one closing players down quickly the all did it. When the ball is played on the ground either to his feet or in behind defences, he can scare them to death.. one thing that was pleasing to night was the number of our players prepared to run at the opposition... even Kozy did it and got his rewards... best performance for a long time..
thought he was awful for most of the game, kept almost tripping over the ball, with better control he could have scored a few goals tonight, but with his speed hes always gonna get chances and as long as he sticks one of them away, great
I thought his performance was the only blot on a very good team display But then he took his goal superbly which sort of balances things out. Oh, and I can't fault his work rate.
Thought he was average at best until he scored But his pace keeps the defenders on their toes as they can't afford to get the wrong side. Once he got the goal he was much better. Once in the first half he tried to control a through ball when he might have been better hitting it first time, and it bobbled to the keeper. Then in the second half, similar situation, tried to hit it first time and it went vertically up in the air. Thought it wasn't going to be his day, then he popped up, and what a finish! Well done lad.
I thought his offsides were mainly due to him trying to make runs and him and the midfield not quite being on the same page yet. Certainly nothing wrong with his performance
Had the same problem at Coventry at first .... I remember listening to a radio commentary of a Coventry game and he was getting into all the right positions, running the defenders into the ground, but almost trying too hard when a bit of composure would have worked better. Once he started to knock in one or two for Coventry, the goals started to flow better and he hit his purple patch in the cip run. That said, he should just be starting to find his purple patch with us now, having scored two goals - should help his confidence.
Agreed He was trying to time the run and the ball was being put through late, one occasion in 2nd half he must have checked his run 3 times
Not very observant are you? You just saw me coming back a minute or two after a goal I make use of a goal scored to run down for a piss without disturbing people too much. Stay alert in future.
Paul Walker on Radio Sheffield... thought he was 'excellent' and gave the defence a 'torrid time'. I wouldn't have gone that far, I wouldn't have gone as far as "terrible". Thought he was poor-ish but took the goal really well, which I guess you take.
Please explain If you've had a couple before the game, then it's a 0-0, you could be in a bit of pain.
