Yes they took me to where i was Born
and we nearly ran into the **** INN(true)i should have known things have changed
and going down the walk, she turned left in stead of right
and had to turn round at the **** inn
then, i really felt my feet at home
then i noticed, new houses with still some old buildings i knew 71 years ago
then i took them to relatives, they did not know exsisted,
    none off them
and what a pleasure i had doing that
then we made our way to Athersley via Worsboro park
as we passed the cemetary.i said give a Blast on your Hooter
    she said why,
i said thats to my Mam and dad in there
    then we came to Barnsley,
    WOW,what a change,
i could not find ,the well known Pub at the Bottom of new street where that Copper stood with his Wonderfull TASH
then Past the New Bus station and on to Athersley

Did you know Billy and Madge Fisher ?

lived in no 43. Billy was a sax player and Madge player piano in a dance band in the evenings.Billy was a deputy at the pit. This was circa 1940s
