Yes we've sounded ****, yes it's Wednesday, but it's one half of the new season, things can quickly change!
You're right... ...two nil down at Wednesday, half time, first game of the season. We should be dead chuffed really.
The problem is things have not and will not change with davy in charge this is a repeat of the last two seasons
Did i say that? I just don't subscribe to this 'lets be as miserable as possible' attitude that's now dominating this board.
It's JUST 45 MINUTES ffs. Who knows what might change?
I'm just glad I;m not as miserable as some of you lot

Thrappo, get real pal, we cannot afford another season of this ****......... for things to change there needs to be change.
The season is not decided on the first day We do sound poor, but lets hope Simon is brave and shakes them up, they need it. We will be similar to last year, because its more or less the team that stayed up on the last day! What worries me is that Hammill and Hallstead maybe watching / listening and thinking, do I want to join this lot?
In the context of us getting beaten 2-0 at wednesday at half time ...I find it hard to be cheerie. Sorry and all that.
Problem is (and granted this is based only on commentary and reports) defence is hesitant and downright sloppy at times giving opposition too much time in and around the box we are lightweight in midfield and do'nt seem to have a striker that can take a good chance when it comes along (well we have but he's on the bench) KO is running around a lot (mainly in the wrong place and to no avail) . Now it might only be the first match but I could have written that report at the end of last season.
But the point is it's only half of the very first game Ok so we've gotten off to a shocking start, yes we've sounded awful, no-one can seemingly take any credit, but it's up to them to earn their wage and show there's more to them than the first half has shown.
Say we get a goal in the first 5-10, make a change or 2, get hold of the ball a bit more, we could soon get back into it.
Plus like I've said in other posts, we have other players who (seemingly) are joining us very soon, and a couple of options on the bench. I wouldn't have started Macken, no doubt Boggy will be on soon, maybe Sodje too, bit of pace and a more clinical player on in Boggy. Keep the faith, no point being so pessimistic this early on

I think you're spot on BUT, did we not play really well against Man City with most of this team playing? Few rave reviews after that game, who says some of these players won't have a much better second half? We certainly need them to
Pessimistic this early on? we've had 3 seasons of it........ we know the man has no plan B, all he can do now is damage limitation and for the love of God why is he persevereing with Odejayi.
RE: But the point is it's only half of the very first game It depends whether Davey will do what the logical man (such as yourself) would have to do in this position. Maybe we can look forward to a few more of his classic tactical options e.g. take off a striker and put on a winger etc
Daveys Game plan went out of the window after 9 minutes His tactic is frustrate the home crowd & **** sake he does every game at Oakwell
Granted But it's not Davey's fault that Colace is out, and that Thomson can't play yet.
I know we said the same things last season when Colace couldn't play, but he did improve things when we did come in, and I'm sure Thomson will do the same in either defence or central midfield

I dont mean to be negative but Macken missing sitters, Kozluk the attention span of a goldfish, Bobby Hassel chipping **** free kicks in , whats changed ? Why is the only goalscorer at the club sat on the bench ? Having said that get the next goal and we are back in it.
