The team were losing regularly and we were in free fall. we missed the opportunity to get in an experienced Manager that would not only have ensured we stayed in this league but possibly got us into the play offs. But we went for what looked like 'a cheap option' that will cost us dear.
I think the problem was that although we lost a few we could easily have won most of em, at the moment we appear to have given up without a fight, at least with AR we played some attrative soccer
The problems we have now stem from Ritchie.........you can't blame Davey.... Under the circumstances, Davey has made a go of it But Davey took over after the rot had set in You cant blame Davey Relegation started when Ritchie decided not to bring players in after Cardiff We are not down yet And if Davey had been in charge from the start of the season I don't think we would have been near the bottom
hehe, well done nudger Comedy post of the year.

By the way, Barnsley FC have published a long list of players that andy ritchie attempted to sign in pre season but for some reason or another wasnt succesful. What is your response to that with regards to your claim that he didnt want to sign anybody in that same period?

You are correct , the rot had set in when Ritchie left
Also we would have been bottom under Davey not near it.
I was under the impression that we tried to sign players , still if it makes you feel better look at what we have signed since.
If thats what Gordo had up his sleeve then ............

agree re the no players at the start but def dont agree we would have been better with SD all season, apart from his first 3 games in charge the performances have been abismal, we are playing ***** football, we cant defend at all and its ***** to watch
Whoa fella, we absolute tripe in the 1st game against Ipswich , they just happened to be just as bad and we got a lucky break at the end of the game.
I havent seen us to play well once under Davey, even the Hull game we had it gifted to us without really having to anything other than try and not **** up.

meant the results went our way and we battled and it looked as though he had started to sort the defence out, agree it wasnt attractive but i did think at the time if he could get us a few points and we then appointed a decent manager we would piss staying in this league, all that has happened since is that we have lost all commitment, passion and enthusiasm, something AR did for the team
We are battling under Davey but we still haven't got the players in defence The defence was shocking under Ritchie and its still shocking now Apart from McIndoe (which was a massive loss) we have better players in midfield and attack.
RE: We are battling under Davey but we still haven't got the players in defence Not being funny but who are these players exactly, apart from the big hungarian, we don't.
Battling under Davey FFS, get real at Coventry we were *****, did we battle last week, we battled at Stoke nad perhaps Plymouth but 2 games in last 10 not good enough
RE: We are battling under Davey but we still haven't got the players in defence Mattis, McCann, Jones, K Reid, Racjzi? Wouldnt say better players. Same standard as what we had. Just got more of them.
Battling??? we losse 5 - 1 Colgan make a world class save and they rattle the woodwork, Not my definition of a battle that
