First it was replacement windows, then PPI, then accident at work, then noisy environment and now it's boiler replacement.
The single most annoying one o get is from Sky. It's a British based call centre too. We've noticed you've recently signed up to Skybet (3 years ago) and wonder if you've considered taking out a Sky TV package. I've had a call from them every 3 weeks for the past year or so, and every single time I have to explain that I live with someone who has Sky TV and broadband and for them to remove me from their list.
They're great the Indians! They inform me every few days or so that my computer is broken and they can fix it, all they need is my bonk ac**** detaiilllss.
and its usually someone called Sam or Bob or Bill or Wendy or Margaret...good old "Indian" names....
Mine is plugged in but the only person who knows the number is my mam. I've never written it down on any forms and we've not had a single nuisance call in the 6 years we've had it (well, except for my mam of course!) You just need to watch where you put your phone number.
I get at least two nuisance calls a day on my work mobile which means its always on and generally I have to answer.
As soon as they announce their "name" as you say Bob, Carol Ted or Alice - I call them liars and then have fun abusing them!!!
Try ordering a pizza or taxi from them, fun can be had. I even asked one to marry me once after a few ciders! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Unless you're with Virgin, then you get phone calls from everywhere. Our lass, my Mum and my Sister are the only ones I've given my number out to and yet Barry from deepest darkest Asia still thinks my laptop has an issue which can only be resolved by transferring half of my savings over to him.
what you should do is get a policy that covers you (even though you don't qualify) then get them in to replace the boiler, if they make a noise and you hurt yourself giving them a hand you can hit them for everything!
I agree it is a nuisance but it's not the person on the phones fault is it? It's the companies farming work out there. Why abuse them ? You wouldn't abuse a foreign taxi driver or pizza delivery person would you? It's a job that probably pays bugger all at the end of the day.
Best way to get rid of them and stop them calling back too often is to say that Mr. X (you) isn't there, but that you are his tenant, and can you pass a message on. They aren't interested in talking to the monkey. Once or twice, particularly after a bad result at Oakwell, I've told them that Mr. X (me) can't come to the phone as he is in prison for fraud. Can I get a message to him on the next visiting day? Usually puts them off.
I've got an old boiler that could do with replacing. I was thinking Sophie Rayworth would be an excellent upgrade.
