I bet there will tons of them by comparison loads of kids that have pestered their Das to take them... you will here screams of anguish as they yell at their Mom's/Dad's asking when Rooney/Van Persie .... and the whole list of their Prima Donna's is coming on... Laughable really. I would have rather seen a match against Athersley Rec TBH
Re: I bet there will tons of them by comparison Well lets hope lots of kids persuade their dads/Mums to take them, and they enjoy the experience and start to go to watch us more regularly, this happened with my nephew when he was a young un, went to watch a Man U 11 v Morecambe and left as a new Morecambe fan, that was before they were even in the conference and he has supported them as his main team ever since................so it could benefit us, please don't knock young uns wanting to go to the game........we were all there once and to be honest the name Man U is bigger than the players and is a good draw often for lower league sides...
A very well made point , one which I did not consider. You are absolutely correct, maybe if they get a taste for a bit of atmosphere it may well whet their little appetites. I have also been of the opinion for years that we should make it a bit more amenable for kids, they are the future. Why not give up a free section to Schools on Saturdays, God knows we have plenty of space for this. Offer free tickets in blocks of around say 10 - 15 to schools and children's homes, they would ask a couple of teachers to supervise their kids. then all the school/ parents would have to pay for would be a mini coach to take them there. 10 or so blocks done like that would be a good thing... 200 ish kids yelling and screaming can only add to it all.
Re: A very well made point , one which I did not consider. Morecambe do that as well, often large parts of the stand full of screaming kids, but if they keep going occasionally well worth it, then there's the snacks, replica kits...........lets hope....
