I'm assuming lots... To get there final look at Stones before deadline day. I hope they are a little tardy filing there reports this week. I hope we can hang on to him while at least the summer, another great game from such a young pro!!
Almost as many scouts as fans I imagine and that's a big part of the reason why we will end up having to sell for less than his true value.
There were plenty of scouts here. Plus, a few managers. Tony Mowbray was in the directors box, just a few yards from me. He got up and applauded quite vociferously when Daggers scored. Phil Brown sat right at the top, near Ronnie Glavin (who I had the pleasure of meeting at half time... what a legend). Nigel Clough was sat at the far end of the directors box, so didn't see much of him. Apparently, Archie Knox was there, but I didn't see him and don't know who he works for. Saw Iain Dowie too, doing his Sky Sports gig. Uglier in person than on TV. I also got a "hello" and a smile from The Don pre-match. Or at least I thought I had, but I was with Matthew Murray at the time so it was probably aimed at him. Bloody journo's. ****-hot evening, to a man that team delivered, in fcukin' spades. We're definitely going to fight for survival, and I feel sorry for those who still won't attend. They're missing the perfect Tarn experience right now. BATTLING BARNSLEY.
Archie Knox is assistant manager at Aberdeen- long way for him to come if it was him. If so, I presume he has a secondary scouting capacity for an English Prem Club (hopefully Man Utd!)
After the way he controlled that high swirling ball in the first half, after chasing it down, then beating a man to get a good cross in, on top of another superb display, I would like to think that any scout would be on the phone and telling their club to stop pratting about and get a bloody good un-refuseable offer in to the club, circa £5m, in order to secure the services of what could be the most exciting prospect that we as a club, and possibly the country has produced for quite sometime. Up to a couple of weeks ago I thought he was worth about £1.5 / £2m at most due to his age and experience, but last night in very difficult conditions he had a storming game, some of his tackles and positional play was top drawer, he has a few rough edges to knock off but in 5 years time, if handled correctly he will be playing for England with his name first on the sheet.
