would react if they, their child or parent slipped & fell on a none existent bit of black ice & got a compound fracture of their lower leg? Maybe it would be on the way home walking up Grove St or could be in the car park. Would they be calling for compensation from the club or council? Or bleating the game wasn't safe to go ahead? Having received a head injury at the club, causing loss of earnings due to concussion & a warning at work, cos the day off put me into sick hell with the NHS for the 1st time ever in my life. I then to found I was accused of looking for compensation from the club & player (Nads btw) by dickwads on here... hey some of them are those bleating about the game being off!!! I wonder how they would react to an injury cause cos the game hadn't been postponed? BTW I never sued the club or the player & had no intention of doing so. Its a football game & there are risks in attending as per the ticket contract. In my experience its them as bleats loudest that are also at loudest whining and & take legal action when they get their way and get hurt. Queue rancid abuse from the bitchers & moaners
So would the same people not go shopping/to work then etc? I've walked downhill and uphill every day this week up snowy/icy pavements to get to work as I live on a hill. Should I have sued work for not giving me the day off if I'd fallen and broken my leg? I'd have liked the choice today whether to 'risk' going to the match. It's just the claim/blame culture going mad.
To be fair Ali I think most folks are just genuinely disappointed at 2 matches off in a week. No-one wants to get injured obviously, but at the time the game was called off there was still seemingly plenty of time to make the ground & surrounding areas safe. Take on board Windy's comments that there may be ice around, but you can't blame folks for : Wanting a game to watch Finding it odd when the forecast was so good Being a bit puzzled by a lack of a CLEAR statement from the club (that could have put all this conspiracy crap to bed once & for all) Expecting that the club may have capabilities to sort the ground in 24+ hours. If the ground is that dangerous, fair enough - but why can't the club explain PROPERLY from the outset, on their own website? For me I'm just gutted that my pre match social activities have been scuppered again, and my alternative is stripping wallpaper. :'(
