He would be an excellent choice if only because Andrew 'One Dimensional Reporter' Lodge, could use the headline 'Reds call for emergency Ward' (zzz) (zzz) (zzz)

    In Defence of Lodgy

what people dont realise is that when any of the local papers interview Davey is that he is not media freindly since the Paul Hayes sagsa.
When Lodgy asked Davey about the Kosluk incident at Crewe and about the reason for dropping Kozzy, Daveys reply was , Im the manager its my decision, when Ian Applyard asked the same question with a fans slant, Davey said to Ian Applayard" im not repeating myself.
All the local journalists and media try to tackle Davey on player issues but as previously stated he has a seige mentality.
Andrew Lodge is absolutely frustrated like the rest of us about the lack of co operation and news which comes out of the club via Mr Davey

    RE: In Defence of Lodgy

You don't have to defend Lodgy, I know he's died in the wool Barnsley and cares about the club as much as we all do. However, from a journalistic point of view, his match reports follow a very tired and predictable format week in, week out. And the cliched headlines do my nut in. Unlike his dad however, I admire him for not sitting on the fence and he is not afraid to criticise the club if he feels it's justified.

Lodgy6 does speak his mind to BFC

And PC has been known to ring him at matches to get a "honest view". He asks straight questions but is shunned of information from Simon Davey, and as Lodgy says if i printed a honest and realistic account from Simon Davey then it would fit on a *** packet with what he gives away to the media

RE: Lodgy6 does speak his mind to BFC

When did Lodgy say the *** packet comment?? Can't have been in the Chron, surely?? Also, 'Cryne rings him for an honest opinion'?? Jaysus, what is going on at the club when the owner doesn't trust the manager to give an honest opinion. Surely you mean an 'alternative' opinion. If not, Cryne looks like he hasn't got the balls to confront Davey about the current situation......very worrying!

All the local media are with us

Davey is against us. Boo, Davey, no sound bites, feeding them bum info on team selections, get him out, he's not media friendly. Lodge knows more about football than him. Siege mentality? Is there any wonder? Take a look at the soap box you're on.

Carry on with this character assassination, see where it leads.

    RE: In Defence of Lodgy

But why should he go into detail with the press about 'problems' or 'player issues' within the camp? How many managers talk about such things to the media? I'd say the vast majority keep everything in-house, and so they should.</p>

Odejayi scored goals with Ward as his manager, albeit at a lower level, but on the negative side he off loaded him to us along with Grant McCann.
