    I like Bobby but I must admit, Shotton looks different class. No room for sentimentality; onwards and upwards as they say!

    It's dead easy to say all the new players are great

    and all the old ones are a poor. It's a load of crap like, but it's easy to say.

    While Shotton has been a revelation so far, Dickinson has been less impressive. He's done OK and looks a decent prospect, but Bobby Hassell has put in better performances on the right (Derby for example) than Dickinson has on the left.

    When Hassell returns from injury he may struggle to win his place back if Shotton continues his excellent performances, but that doesn't suddenly make him a poor player. And don't forget Shotton is only here on loan. If we can't sign him permanently then Bobby will step back into the breach and do a very good job like he has done at Barnsley for years.
