RE: Why ???? nt Because of the way not one - and I mean not one - person of any association with England whether it be players fans ,manager etc etc has even considered the possibility.....everyone seems to think that if Russia slip up then England have qualified when in reality Croatia at home is hardly an easy game............and they say Leeds fans are arrogant.
RE: Why ???? nt Croatia will have already qualified mate.... They'll come to Wembley just for a day out.... Still no need to wish bad on England though is there ????
Not the way I've seen it It's been a case of if Russia don't win then that puts it back into England's hands and then they have a chance
RE: Why ???? nt 'Croatia will have already qualified mate.... They'll come to Wembley just for a day out' If only fooball was that simple. You know as well as I do the dangers of playing a team with 'nothing' to play for. Ipswich had bugger all to play for bu still stopped Leeds winning who were fighting for their very lives...the examples are too numerous too mention. All foreign teams love playing at Wembley and I really can't see Croatia coming over just for a sight seeing tour of London.
RE: Why ???? nt England don't exactly deserve to qualify, been very poor throughout, and says a lot when England can only qualify if Russia slip up
They might win in the second half but its only half time Played 41 minutes at present Israel winning 1-0
eh? I never understand that logic. Whoever qualifies at the end of the day deserves to as they have the required number of points.
I suppose you're right in that sense Just hard to get excited by England now, they've underperformed consistently in the qualifiers. Course I want them to qualify, don't get me wrong, but their place should/could have been secured a while back
We are not a good team at the moment so scrapping a way in was the only way it was going to happen. .
RE: We are not a good team at the moment so scrapping a way in was the only way it was going to happ True, but then there is still a lot of ability in the team. Problem is, despite this quality, England don't look like a team, there's very little fluency, very little creavity, very little passion, and it's hard to understand why. Is it the coach, the players, the ego's, the media over hyping the players?
Just seems a lot of people think because England are one of the so-called top teams in the world (top 10 on reputation anyway) we should qualify for all the major tournaments, with everyone expecting this before a ball is kicked.
It's frustrating because I used to really enjoy watching England when I was younger
