...if an appointment is made quickly. We had no need to get Wilson out immediately (if at all) and we have been in worse positions this season. As such I reckon there's a decent chance the club lined someone up before pulling the trigger.

As for whether he should have gone, I'm in 2 minds. On the one hand I desperately wanted to see him succeed, and thought that if he had time to build a team then we might have done well next season. On the other hand, you don't build a team for next year by bringing in loanees and we haven't been playing well for a while now. On balance I think I'm disappointed, but not angry.
