Now has one less league goal than Odejayi in his Barnsley career He will have more than him by the end of September
Odejayi, did turn the game and also taking Leon off and putting Hassell made a difference in Midfield giving Howard the space he needed. Leon and Howard do not play well together. Neither do Macken and Hume. Better starting with Odejayi and Hume.
Don't see how Hume made his own goal and Odejayi did not put the cross in for Foster Coming on and winning a couple of headers is not changing the game
Odejayi won the header to assist Hume You are making yourself look a little silly. He also gave everyone a lift as our long ball game, which was fairly unproductive when played to Hume and Macken, began to cause Derby problems when the ball was aimed at Kay. Of course he changed the game.
if we played the ball on the floor to Hume and Macken - then fine, but we don't - we seem adamant on playing direct in the air!
RE: Odejayi won the header to assist Hume No he didn't, i seem to remember him falling into there centre half who headed it out to Hume.
Saying that, for once he did add a different dimension to our game and played the best ive seen him play since the Chelsea game. I also think Macken needs to get his arse in gear, he spends too much time on the floor complaining and not enough time n there box. Mostto should have replaced him with 20 mins to go yesterday not 2.

RE: Odejayi won the header to assist Hume Listening to leicester fans when we signed hume they said he was a lot better player playing in the middle of the park rather than wide, odejayi did well at birmingham when he came on he upsets defenders with his height and hes our only option to high balls being pumped into the box in loose play so think we have to persevere with him. cum on you reds now lets kick start the season.
RE: Odejayi won the header to assist Hume So you don't think the Derby defender cleared it so poorly because he was grappling with Odejayi?
RE: Odejayi won the header to assist Hume Odejayi ran into him. Hassell had more of an impact, just in the fact that he was able to put the off tackle in and allow Howard to move forward
Hmmm, I think you'll find that when 99% of balls up to the front men are coming STRAIGHT back towards you, but suddenly, when there is someone up there, putting himself about and making life hard for those defenders, who had it easy for 65 minutes - that's pretty much 'changing the game'...
I would say for a stiker or any attacking player changing the game is having a direct influence on a goal not just making a nuisance of yourself Are people that fecking desperate to make a case for Odejayi that they will make out every time he touches the ball it shows what potential he has
Odejayi definitely changed the game - Derby's centre halves were strolling for 70 minutes and we had no threat up front...Odjob comes on and they sh*t themselves! He's big, powerful, quick and gave them problems immediately. We know he can't finish but on this occasion he made a huge difference as we were then getting possession in their final third where our more creative players could make a difference. If you can't see that James you are very naive...
So indirectly creating goals doesnt count then does it In any case Odejayi had a direct influence on the first goal - pressurising their defender (fouling if you are a Derby fan) to force a mistake and poor clearence The second goal he had an indirect influence in that the Derby centre halves suddenly had someone to worry about and were watching him letting Foster stroll in unmarked. Tying up opposition defenders so that others can get free headers and score counts as changing the game in my opinion - Oh and I am not a KO fan particularly, a goal every 10 games isnt good enough for a striker but credit where credit is due.
