RE: I guess we are now looking at Blackwell or Royle. Blackwell - no thanks, but what's the big problem with Royle? I think he'd be an excellent choice, someone with experience for Davey to work alongside and learn from.
its not 100% - just what i heard, i'd be happy with either dowie or royle but not blackwell for the moment though - i dont think there's a mad panic to get someone in - davey is doing a good job and i am happy to see if he can ride the crest of a wave and get some more points on the board - every game that we chalk up points and the job is looking more and more as though it could be his. i think its difficult for us to comment on - we just dont know what the managers are asking. the board are not stupid, in fact - quite the opposite. dowie's got a decent track record and if they think he is the right man for the job then they will have been in touch, but wages could have been a stumbling block i think. i see why you are getting agitated but would be more concerned if we had picked up less than 3 points in last 3 games but we haven't
RE: its not 100% - just what i heard, i'd be happy with either dowie or royle I think Davey could keep us in this division but im not convinced he is the man to take up to the next level. I would imagine Joe Royle at age 57 has lost some desire and like JD said earlier maybe hes winding down to retirement. Blackwell for me is a non-starter,hes ex Sheffield United which doesnt help and his record at Leeds wa awful considering the money he spent.
According to a newspaper PC have been impressed with Daveys job as a caretaker, that he want him to take over.
RE: its not 100% - just what i heard, i'd be happy with either dowie or royle Play off final is really poor eh? I for one am not a Blackwell fan but I dont think he did a bad job at Leeds. Anyway your hero appointed Paul Hart.
If Dowie takes over at Hull City............then Hull City will leave a relegation spot Hull City will leave a relegation spot that will need filling Which makes it more likely Barnsley will go down
