In both his prematch press conference and an interview tonight on radio Sheffield, has been heavily critical of young players, both at Chesterfield and elsewhere being too mollycoddled nowadays. He was asked whether other players were as downbeat about the result as he appeared to be at the weekend and he rather honestly said no. He suggested that many young players now see football as a good way to make a living and don't understand that you should be giving 110% effort alongside that. I'm not sure whether his words will be beneficial to Chesterfield's cause or not but it was a very refreshingly honest interview from one of the veterans of the game.
