He has to be the first choice as far as I'm concerned. Two promotions to the Premiership, two teams promoted out of League One. Just for the board to show ambition in getting an obviously talented manager at the helm would be a positive step. After a failure at Millwall I can't see him being in demand in the Championship, and he would be more than capable of getting a club our size out of this league. I'd be disappointed if he wasn't approached.
Unless things have changed, and his wage expectations have come down significantly, he will be too expensive.
I wouldn't say so, took over Blacky when they were a poor championship side on crowds a lot less than ourselves and led them to the prem, he was then at Palace and guided them to the prem, that's the pinnacle of his career, the rest of it as been at Championship level and below. I wouldn't saw a significant drop in wages to come, his last job was at Millwall... A team on the best form in the country and a pending Wembley appearance.
my info came from a senior figure at BFC, I can't remember if it was just before Johnson, or Wilson, I was told both Ollie and Colin expected too much money.
Media darling boy. I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.As for Palace my ST holding bro in law says they got promoted in spite of him. He says he was woeful. At Blackpool he had the stand out player that season in Charlie Adam.
I'd rather we go for a young hungry manager i think someone at the club until the end of season would be a good option. Not much needs changing we have a good bunch keep same formation ect don't want or need a big name like hollaway it's about the full squad not one man. Chris wilder would be my man if we were appointing externally.
