Hudders fans were singing "Blackpool's a shithole l wanna go home" Holloways comments "I didn't like what they were singing, I've been to Huddersfield, have a look round will you the best thing about it is the stadium, what about the rest of it?"
Wow we not heard that before. Every club sings it on away trips now Ollie, or did you just want to make the sport again? Personally I prefer these particular jibes: 'You only sing when you're whelking' 'You can shove your ******* tower up your asre' 'You only work in the summer' 'You're just a small town in Preston'
He's got a point, I remember Wolves fans walking to the ground a few years back singing "what a f**** sh*thole" and thinking, wow, talk about pot kettle black (country)
Every time I hear the away fans sing that, I think '**** off then, nobody made you come here, gates are open'.
Guy likes the sound of his own voice. Huddersfield is a much better town than Blackpool and I like them both.
I'm with you on that one - it is one of the most ridiculous songs. I even remember hearing some fans signing it at Chelsea once....aye, I'm sure the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is a complete shithole! Better pubs in Huddersfield than Blackpool.
It's a bit of fun. Just like singing '**** ground no fans' when you are at a modern stadium that just happens to be half empty as we are in town. It's far from personal.
I have. It was a good do but a few bell ends couldn't hold their drink and were acting up a bit by seven o'clock.
