No idea.........much bigger rink though than NHL

Great chance here for Latvia with a 4 min powerplay

Theres a NHL size and an Olympic size - I think that the British league have the Olympic size.

I think it's a bit like a football pitch in that there is a maximum and minimum size laid down by the international governing body but I think within leagues it is a strict size

Some details on here....NHL rink is 85 ft wide, International rink is 100 ft wide.

The NHL have also moved the goals back as well I think this season to reduce the amount of room behind

Cracking game....well played Latvia.

Apart from the Italians (who are only in as hosts), the Latvians have the fewest number of NHL players in their squad (only 2), if they continue to play like that then a few more could be heading over.

I think what you are refering to is the safety net above it that you see on the shots of the full rink.

Shame GB never made it this far. I went to the Olympic qualifiers that were on in Sheffield years ago, when we had to beat Poland, Japan, and another team to make it. Slovenia? Can't remember. Anyway, we blew it, and haven't come close since.

and I am not sure even he plays Ice Hockey anymore.
