Well he would have been instrumental in the appointment of Simon Davey. Just because the new signings that have played and are due to play have not given us immediate success, there is no reason to think thy will not be successful in keeping us up. All this would have been discussed in the 'Master Plan' be patient.
PCs Thoughts. He is very annoyed by the Barnsley fans attitude towards GS, he is frustrated as the fans are but it seems to be the case that if GS was to resign then PC would look to ofload the club. This isnt "hear say " this is the real scenario. At the risk of attracting abuse and other comments i do not think it would be a bad idea for PC to sell up and move on, after all the way GS has treated the fans i think a new owner with a chairman who knows a little about football would not be a bad thing. I thank PC for all he has done but if he is fickle enough to think that GS can do no wrong then he should not have a say in the clubs demise to Division 1 because that is the way we are going under GS's red and white army.
eyup stop slating us!!!!most are not that bad!!!I went to Bolton other wk!they moan! and dont even fill their stadium despite incredible league position!
Sorry, but its true. I wouldn't want to run a football club with our supporters, and I hope that Cryne is stern enough to ignore the nonsense that a lot of our fans spout about the chairman and most things.
They took the praise after cardiff they have to take the flack now thats football don't say were the biggest moaners in football, listen football heaven utd fans slagging of warrnock ffs, listen 606 talk sport only time when football fans don't moan is the same day they win something, then the next day its back to normal.
RE: PCs Thoughts. Bit puzzled by that - as I understand it PC owns half the land but doesnt own the club. The club is owned by Gordon although I think it is significantly in debt to the tune of several million pounds to PC. Not sure exactly what there is to sell - the football club has no assets so only a rich fan would even contemplate such an idea and there arent many of those
RE: PCs Thoughts.
Its some sort of trust arrangement. PC owns the club as well as 50% of thecompany that holds the ground but GS holds the shares in the club in trust (or something like that.)

National Red
In reality do you think PC would be able to find someone to buy the club? I think if PC decides to walk away then it could spell the end of the line.

So... if GS pisses off, PC will close the club down? i would have thought he was tougher than that. And surely someone could do what GS is doing now? Let's face it in any case, he's not getting any younger is he, so the day when he wants to pack up can't be that far off can it? I'd like to know just why GS is so dear to PC, and why he can do no wrong in his eyes.
How long is the period "where we should be happy to have club" going to last. I want us moving forwards.
