... Chairman on Have I got news for you.</p>

    Panalists</p>

    Ian Hislop &amp; Ken Livingstone</p>

    Paul Merton &amp; George Galloway</p>

... throw a chunk of raw meat in and voila, blood bath tv that would make WW2 seem like a minor disagreement.</p>

    That would be excellent.

Not sure whether I'd put Boris in though instead of Ken

    Rather see Livingstone and Griffin

    versus some crocodiles or summat.</p>

What seems to have happened (I didn't watch QT btw, just going on media reports etc) is that the whole programme seems to have settled on Griffin - fine, but other than making him lie about the BNP's policy - ie when he said that non whites 'could stay' it's not really shot the BNP to **** - unless I'm mistaken. Jack Straw seems to have come out as the **** house he is, whilst he skirted round the real issues with soundbites, thus just giving more fuel to Griffin's fire.

Actually Baroness Warsi did more to put Griffin in his place than Straw.

I bet Nick loved that - "damn they've put a right of centre, highly intelligent, titled, Northern, Muslim, Asian woman against me. I can't really argue much against that then."

She didn't play the race card, calm articulate and talked sense including the immigration issue being about setting limits and having immigrants accepted on the value they bring to the country nothing else.

    Who's more 'British' ?

    Warsi or Griffin ?</p>

That's the irony that will bypass the BNP and its supporters.

    Completely agree

I am a liberal democrat, but thought Chris Huehn was ****, Straw was generally **** but Warsi and Bonnie Greer both put Griffin in his place.

She agreed with him on the subject of men kissing in public and teaching homosexuality in schools

As did a lot of other people if they are honest

And she was lying through her teeth when discussing civil partnerships

    Define 'kissing'

a'peck on the cheek' doesn't bother me but tongue down the throat does... but it does if it's a woman and a man as well. 'get a room'</p>

As for teaching about homosexuality in school if it is done in secondary schools as part of a balanced sex education then I've no problem with that.</p>

and yes she did brush over the civil partnership.</p>

Yeah read up a bit more about it now. She's maybe a bit more than right of centre.

At least she is prepared to debate these issues rather than just holding up the Political Correctness card and denying that people in the UK have problems with Race and Homosexuality.

It's how they define it rather than me so I can only speculate but I'd say they are thinking of it in terms of anything including a peck on the cheek.

RE: Rather see Livingstone and Griffin

On the surface the Tory policy for immigration as Baroness Warsi explained it seems great. We'll get some good doctors and business professionals, maybe some teachers and some lawyers. And while it's OK to get the cream of the crop these aren't the people who make any real difference to the UK job market. It's the thousands of immigrants who work in low paid jobs like meat packing, farming and cleaning, jobs that the majority of UK residents have absolutely no interest in doing, that really hold the whole thing together. There'd be no place for these people and I'd just like to ask who they think are going to do these jobs in the future?

That's not strictly true is it James? she actually said it would be 'their right to enter civil parnership' and of course she's not going to agree, she's muslim, just like the Catholic faith doesn't agree. Tony Blair would be the same if pushed.

She was very uncomfortable about the whole issue

And refused to answer Dimbleby's allegations about her previous comments on civil partnerships. For the majority of the show she came across very well, but she's just a right wing Tory underneath. Only decent person on there was Bonnie Greer.

Whilst I agree with you I have to ask why have the majority of UK residents no interest in doing the jobs you mention ?

Some of her views worry me more that Griffin's because at least he will never get anywhere near power. Unfortunately she will most likely be part of government next year
